The Vancouver Island Motor Sports Association (VIMSA) racers are proposing to build a ¼ mile track and a road course next to the local airport with the plan to host drag race events every two or three weeks.
This facility would be similar to the Portland racing venue but without the time and costs wasted to ride a ferry to get there.
