The Hackenberger’s collection auction results

not much money for anything.

The top sale of the auction was a restored 1947 Indian Chief with original sidecar that went for $37,800, even though it reportedly hadn’t seen the road in 15 years. The top selling automobile was a 1965 Amphicar 770 at $31,500.

but the amount of cats and stuff was incredible, and the total for cars, trucks, and motorcycles sold was $1.67 million. The overall total, including tractors, buggies, and memorabilia sold, was about $2 million.

Some of the most interesting cars sold:
a very rough 1949 Tatra T600 Tatraplan for $23,100,
a 1967 Porsche 912 for $26,250
a 1969 Jaguar E-Type Roadster sold for $31,500
a 1938 Studebaker pickup sold for $31,500
a 1955 Ford Thunderbird sold for $26,250

  1. This was less than an hour from me, and I didn't hear about it until it was over. I'm not in the market to buy anything, but it would have been fun to go and check it out.
